The 15th Meiji University Shakespeare project
"The Merchant of Venice"



"Meiji University Shakespeare project" (popular name MSP) that reached the memorable 15th year this year.

Even circle where lecture common throughout department interval starts led by student attending "modern charm of Shakespeare", and Meiji Univ. student deals with all processes to be concerned with direction, plan administration, apparel, performance including stage art commencing with translation of the original text is big project to represent Meiji University which is not student group. The 14th performance of last year had many customers go to visit every year to "Trojan War - Troy RAS and Cressida -" from the first performance "Merchant of Venice" of 2004 (: Meiji University culture project) and in late years we recorded the number of the audience mobilization more than 3,500 and were active while we were supported in many various places. We challenge the first performance "Merchant of Venice" again this year after time of 15 years.
