From Edo to Tokyo
The beginning that Tokyo is new from Edo-jo Castle no blood surrender

After the Meiji Restoration, our country built basic form of the modern society aiming at construction of modern nation. Various approaches are carried out in whole country each place to be 2018 150 years after the Meiji Restoration, and to look back, and to connect the Meiji period some other time in the future.

In Chiyoda-ku having Edo-jo Castle, there is much stage of the history from late Tokugawa period to the Meiji Restoration among other things including Rokumei-kan period when we promoted Incident out of Sakurada-mon Gate, changes from Edo-jo Castle to the Imperial Palace, westernization policy for inequity treaty revision. By this display, we take up Edo-jo Castle no blood surrender, the times until the Meiji 10s said to be Rokumei-kan period from disturbance by the late Tokugawa period since black ship visit to a shore of the late Tokugawa period and introduce changing cityscape from Edo including social change and Chiyoda-ku to Tokyo. Particularly, the Meiji Restoration that was not talked about very much so far including role that princess sum shrine and ten*in*hime served as for Edo-jo Castle no blood surrender introduces.
