Building and living after house 1945 in Japan
The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945


Book exhibition is magnificent attempt to introduce 75 building a house by 56 sets of Japanese architects to through model, drawing, photograph, picture more than 400 points.
As it is displayed every theme not chronological order, you can understand characteristic of "Japanese house" deeply.
We go around Rome, London from the autumn of 2016 and finally begin in Tokyo.

Point of book exhibition
●We classify in theme, and it is inspected by various viewpoints
Model more than 400 points or handwritten drawing, photograph, picture introduce 75 building a house by 56 sets of Japanese architects of Japan. We inspect imminent house from various viewpoints such as connections with characteristics and social nature, location environment and person and person for anyone in the times by classifying in 13 themes not chronological order, and displaying.

●Architect is focus in house which we dealt with in postwar period
Condition to let building a house of Japan establish greatly focuses in strange postwar period and displays house which architect dealt with on unprecedented scale. You can see many Japanese houses by architect before continuing up to the present day.

Book exhibition was held in the Barbican Centre for Arts and Conferences of London in art museum in March, 2017 in the MAXXI (maxi) Kunitachi 21st century of Rome in 2016 and won favorable reception. Building exhibition is held commencing with book exhibition a lot in Japan for 2,017 years. It is one year when attention to building increases.
