eikyu which is one of artist who is important with Taro Okamoto in postwar Japanese vanguard art before the war. The sincere production posture cannot overlook achievement that had a great influence on young Eiko Hosoe (photographer), Masuo Ikeda (woodblock artist), Atsushi Kawahara (modern artist) yet in those days.
eikyu pursued true "real" for him as if we groped around in darkness of the mind that light of reason did not touch. Can you not whet sense for thing which is "real" through now, eikyu filled with virtual thing or plain words?
