East and west of grave of plan exhibition reburial tomb and tomb with a crock-shaped coffin - Yayoi—

Things characterizing Yayoi period grave system include tomb with a crock-shaped coffin in reburial tomb, Kyushu in East Japan. Meiji University worked on study of reburial tomb from before and after archeology specialty foundation of 1950, and saiso using earthenware vessel located what was performed for the first time in the remains of Iwana Tenjinmae of 1964 and gave much result. On the other hand, it is one of funerary urn of Kyushu that assumed huge exclusive earthenware vessel coffin as document of comparative study, the grave goods and collects China mirrors that it is with key of decision in the generation. We display funerary urn, Chinese mirror of this hotel store with representative reburial tomb document of Kanto for the first time this time in cathedral and introduce about difference of East-West graves system and the characteristic and the generation.
