Late Tokugawa period revolution that picture scroll shows in lifetime
The new government which was born by great command of the Restoration of Imperial Rule emitted on (1867) December 9 in 1867 challenged revolution to promote the modernization of country led by the Emperor Meiji in order to set shoulder beside the Western Great Powers. As for the young Emperor Meiji to be in his mid-teens, it would be faced each other in that by many critical situations, but it was two people of Sanetomi Sanjo (it considers to be seed) (1837-91) and Tomomi Iwakura (fir tree) (1825-83) to have supported the Emperor.
